Problem
Exhausted parents lose the small, irreplaceable moments — no tool was designed around parental fatigue.
My Role
Solo — design, product, and full-stack development.
Outcome
8 founders signed up at launch. Live with paying users.
Context

Colo Diário is a solo-built AI-powered journaling app for parents and caregivers of young children, currently at MVP stage with early users. Built entirely by one person — design, product, and development — using Lovable, Supabase, and OpenAI.

Process
  • 01Research with parents first — interviewed parents to understand why existing tools felt like homework, not support.
  • 02Rejected the "digital diary" format — a blank text field adds cognitive load on an already-tired parent.
  • 03Designed around low-friction entry — voice, text, and photo combined, meeting parents where they are.
  • 04Positioned AI as a mirror, not a generator — it reflects entries back, surfacing patterns rather than writing for the user.
  • 05Built and designed simultaneously in Lovable — real UX decisions made directly in a real, shipping codebase.
Proposal

A mobile-first journaling app where parents capture moments via voice, text, or photo, then receive AI-generated reflections that surface emotional patterns over time. Visual tokens (terracotta, warm grays, generous whitespace) signal safety and intimacy over productivity. Key screens: home entry point, multi-mode capture flow, AI reflection card, memory timeline.

Result

Launched to MVP with 8 founders signing up at go-live — a meaningful signal, given founders are among the most skeptical early adopters. Product is live at colodiario.app with paying users. First solo product shipped from design system to production.
